Natural Indigo Slim Straight
The classic styling of the AI-002 is simple and well designed. A slim cut, straight leg, with hidden rivets. Hand dyed with natural indigo directly from the Tokushima prefecture in Japan, the cotton is dyed by only a few remaining indigo craftsmen whose craft is certified by the Japanese government to be a nationally protected art. The jeans are hand sewn so sizing will vary, see the chart below for an average sizing.

This is 17 oz selvedge denim using specially made ultra-thick slub yarn hand-dyed in Tokushima with the Awa-Shoai method. They're slim-straight jeans that are great for those who want to look smart with a rustic touch.
The dyeing process used in their manufacture is called 'Hank dyeing' and ensures the threads maintain their color, right down to the core. This means that loose threads won't stand out and reduces uneven shading between indigo and white.
The indigo color in the denim fades gradually, instead of in patches, with repeated use.
